Ileana-----Way TO go Gal!!!!

She has a chiseled figure. And the figure (in terms of currency) she commands for a film is attractive too. She has a bewitching smile. And she is having the lasting glow, too (at least for now). That is Illeana for you --- the flavor of the season in Tollywood. The splendidly structured actress is the most wanted one here.

She is currently acting opposite Prabhas in Munna and in Jadhoo a bilingual film of A.M.Ratnam . But Illeana's popularity is going places. She has just recently signed on Krishn Vamsi –NTR's film that would go on regular shoot in June. Puri Jagannadh is seeking her dates for his next film with Allu Arjun.

And Producer BVVSN Prasad is now trying to rope her in for his new film with hero Ravi Teja directed by Amma Rajashekar. She is much in demand in Bollywood too. The Goan girl is getting plum offers from Mumbai. But the broad-boned actress says her prime focus is on Tollywood. She says she has huge expectations on movies that feature her here. Illeana, is going places, yet rooted in reality.

Ileana...Is the Girl

Ileana is the girl on a hot streak in Telugu. This year she has had two big hits. Y V S Chowdary's Devadasu. And then she has followed that with the sizzling show in Pokiri. Old heroes are after her to sign up for their films. As of now she is committed to Munna with Prabhas, Jadoo with Ravi Krishna and with NTR in a movie to be directed by Krishna Vamsi. She is being talked as the heroine for the film. The success of the latter film has in fact shot her fame to dizzy heights. If Devadasu announced her arrival as a pretty and promising young thing, it is Pokiri, in which she held her own against Mahesh Babu, that has truly announced her potential to us. Ileana is a typical modern girl, not averse to glamour dresses. She is comfortable in cool minis, lycras and other such stuff. In terms of performance too, Ileana seems a cool customer.

She has a spontaneity and a simple laugh that can cut ice with the masses. She is being talked as the heroine for the film of BVSN Prasad with Ravi Teja as hero.Puri Jagannadh also reportedly wants to make a film with her along Allu Bunny Arjun. The buzz is that Ileana may get to do Pokiri remake in Tamil. So it is all happening for Ileana.


She is Rocking ALready....

Upcoming Tollywood actress Ileana, who is making her debut in Tamil with the of film Kedi, was badly hurt on the sets the film in Chennai. The film, produced by A.M. Ratnam, is being directed by his son Jothy Krishna, while his other son Ravi Krishna is the hero. The shooting has been taking place at Mada Engineering College in Chennai for the last few days.

During one particular scene, Ileana was supposed to break open a glass window pane, and escape from a building. But during the scene, a heavy piece of glass fell on her right toe and she got a deep cut. Within minutes, the actress, who was crying with pain, was rushed to a nearby hospital where her wound was treated and she was given eight stitches.

Director Jothy Krishna confirmed the news and said, “We were shooting in a hospital set erected for the particular scene at Mada Engineering College. According to the scene, the heroine is locked inside the hospital and the hero has come in search of her. When she sees him, she tries to escape by breaking the window. We had kept a heavy pane of glass against the window sill and she was supposed to act like she’s hitting it. Her timing was not okay in the first two takes. In the third take, she got the shot right, but instead of the glass falling outside, half of it fell towards her and landed on her toe. The cut was quite deep, but we rushed her to a ‘real’ hospital and got her treated on time. But I had to cancel shooting for the rest of the day.” The actress left for Mumbai the next day, and will rest for 10 days, before she resumes shooting.

The glamour doll has been stealing the show with her sexy looks from Devadasu and Pokiri.

Now she wants to steal the audiences with her performance. It isn't easy to shed the sexy tag, but Ileana wants to try hard. Here are some snippets of Ileana on her movie career.

"People are behind me for the glamour show I did for screen. Now I want to steer my career, and I am trying not to make any wrong moves from now on. My previous films were important to me for various reasons. Now it is a conscious decision for not to be called sexy anymore. I would like rather to be known as a performer. Well, I know I look sexy wearing a sari fully. But I have to pick and choose characters, as people expect more from me", says Ileana.

She also adds saying, "Mahesh puts a lot of effort for every shot. And he makes you believe everyone that hard work leads to perfection. And it's been great working with him. He…'s been very cooperative. I am looking forward for good roles with big stars in the future".

Ileana Injured on the sets of Jadoo :( :( :( :( :(

The current rage among the youth, Illeana suffered a serious injury during a film shoot of in Chennai on May 7th.

She was shooting for A M Rathnam produced Jadoo, starring Ravi Krishna as the hero. As she was shooting for 'glass breaking shot', suddenly the glass broke on her, injuring her right leg seriously. She lost heavy blood. She was immediately rushed to hospital and about six stitches were done on her right leg. And the producer Rathnam immediately cancelled the shoot and Illeana then went to her residence in Mumbai.

But a thorough professional that she is, Illeana has joined the Prabhas's Munna shoot today (May 9, 2006) in Vizag, despite her injury. She could not take rest as debutant director Vamsy Paidipalli is now canning combination shots of various artists for Munna.

We wish her speed recovery and at the same time salute for her professionalism.

Illeana is the current rage among the youth. Her popularity has now soared much after the stupendous success of Pokiri. Now, she is all set to act with another mass hero, Ravi Teja. Producer BVVSN Prasad is now trying to rope her in for his new film with hero Ravi Teja.

Sources told that the discussions between Illeana and the producer are going on. Director ‘Amma’ Rajashekar (of Ranam fame) is keen on taking her in. But the hitch is – her dairy is now full.

She can only say yes to the project if makers can postpone their project to the August. Because she has just recently signed on Krishnvamsy – NTR’s film that would go to regular shoot in June. She is now currently working for Prabha’s Munna. And Puri Jagannadh is seeking her dates for his next film with Allu Arjun.
