Upcoming Tollywood actress Ileana, who is making her debut in Tamil with the of film Kedi, was badly hurt on the sets the film in Chennai. The film, produced by A.M. Ratnam, is being directed by his son Jothy Krishna, while his other son Ravi Krishna is the hero. The shooting has been taking place at Mada Engineering College in Chennai for the last few days.

During one particular scene, Ileana was supposed to break open a glass window pane, and escape from a building. But during the scene, a heavy piece of glass fell on her right toe and she got a deep cut. Within minutes, the actress, who was crying with pain, was rushed to a nearby hospital where her wound was treated and she was given eight stitches.

Director Jothy Krishna confirmed the news and said, “We were shooting in a hospital set erected for the particular scene at Mada Engineering College. According to the scene, the heroine is locked inside the hospital and the hero has come in search of her. When she sees him, she tries to escape by breaking the window. We had kept a heavy pane of glass against the window sill and she was supposed to act like she’s hitting it. Her timing was not okay in the first two takes. In the third take, she got the shot right, but instead of the glass falling outside, half of it fell towards her and landed on her toe. The cut was quite deep, but we rushed her to a ‘real’ hospital and got her treated on time. But I had to cancel shooting for the rest of the day.” The actress left for Mumbai the next day, and will rest for 10 days, before she resumes shooting.
