Ileana not in YVS' Okka Moggadu!

When YVS Chowdary, had announced his movie after Devadasu, the industry was abuzz with rumours that Ileana would play the lead role beside Balakrishna. The news was almost confirmed and it was even stated that the dates of "Rakhi" were re-scheduled for Ileana, as she was to play the lead in Okka Moggadu.

But, after Illu recently fainted on the sets of Rakhi, doctors asked her to take it easy. Illu has been hapelessly burdened by too many projects on her hand which caused her to feel really Stressed out.

Hence, the latest on OM is that, Illu has rejected YVS's offer to play the lead role in the movie. Rumour has it that, Illu didn't actually want to act beside Balakrishna. Whatever maybe it, Illu surely knows how to hog the lime-light.

It was earlier reported in the blog that Ileana is a part of Yuva Samrat Nagarjuna's next venture after "BOSS" tentatively titled "DON". Now, the news is almost confirmed, but still the official word is yet to come.

Recently, Illu has signed on the dotted line for Kollywood's Surya's movie.

Jadoo Audio -- Releasing Tommorow! !

The immediate movie after Pokiri as you know is "Jadoo". Illu pairs up with Ravi Krishna ( 7GBC Fame) and also new-comer Tammana. Ravi Krishna's elder brother Jyothi Krishna directs the movie as A.M.Rathnam produces it.

The movie was delayed due to unforeseen reasons and finally sees the light of the day. Jadoo has music by young and famous music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. The audio is scheduled for a release on 26th August i.e Tommorow and promises to have some peppy music.

Going by the posters of Jadoo, the movie seems to be totally dependent on Ileana's Jadoo!. The movie itself was sold in the Andhra Territory after the success of Pokiri. So we'll have to wait and watch the fun!.

Interview : Part II

Personal interests:

Ileana used to sketch a lot (a talent she inherited from her father). "Now I lost touch," she rues. She also used to sing English songs on stage and even auditioned for a band (but the band never took off). "I didn't have any style of my own but I could imitate any singer and sing the song."

She is an avid reader of Sidney Sheldon. "I have read all his books and am waiting for the new one."

Ileana loves being near the water and tried snorkelling too recently and enjoyed it.

If you thought her hour-glass physique is due to workouts, she surprises you by saying, "I am not a gym person. I just do some stretches and some exercises for the abs. Although I am a foodie, I eat in moderation and eat what I like."

Though she is busy acting, Ileana is also pursuing her graduation (2nd year) through correspondence from Bombay University.

Although she has earned name, fame and money, yet her feet are planted in terra firma. "My mother keeps me grounded."

Ileana is happy since she is doing well. I am thankful for what I have got. I want to be the best in what I do," she signs off.

Ileana's Interview !! - Part I

Ileana gives an Interview to rediff.com about the journey from being a model to now becoming the FIRST face in Southern Cinema!

Excerpts from the Interview:

She is the pretty face with an hour-glass figure and oodles of confidence who is rocking Telugu cinema. She was one of the models in the Fair and Lovely ad to be asked by director Rakesh Roshan if she would work in his film.

The lissome Ileana D'Cruz's first Telugu film, Devadasu, brought her notice, and her second film -- the blockbuster Pokiri -- showed she was clearly here to stay.

"I lived in Goa for about seven years. I was in class XII in Goa and the manager of the hotel where my mother worked said I should get into modelling. He fixed up a meeting with (former model) Marc Robinson who was also staying at the hotel. I was not keen to meet him but was persuaded to do so. He suggested I get a portfolio made. So in January 2003, I got my portfolio done. It was a disaster as I had no idea of lighting, poses etc. I just did it. There was nothing planned."

This portfolio won her the first contract -- a series of shoots for Hyatt, especially for their spa at Goa. And Ileana was not too comfy about doing it. "I was completely nervous and I had to do the ad with two other models. I did it and I thought I could go back to my studies. But that brought in more ramp shows. People slowly started noticing me..."

"I didn't know the language, couldn't dance or act. But the director Choudhry had confidence in me and encouraged me, urged me on saying I would make it. It was nerve-wracking and tough. There were so many people on the sets staring at you. I wasn't confident and so I decided I would go with the flow," she says.

"Shooting the songs was tough and though the director put me at ease and was patient, I felt pressured. I almost cried and didn't want to go further. Then my mom gave me the lecture of a lifetime one day at 3 am just after we came back from the shoot. She put sense into me, to give the project the best I could since it was a commitment we couldn't break. I came back because of my mom."

"I was not too keen as Devadasu had not released and I wondered whether I have it in me to do another film. Manjula (who co-produced Pokiri and is Mahesh Babu's sister) was insistent and coerced me to do it. I felt good as I was wanted."Did she have any apprehensions about doing a hero-centric film? "I did have but then I thought I could give it a shot."

"Action director Vijayan master told me my expression in those sequences was important and it was so intense that I got goose-bumps. We went ahead for the second take and after that I was completely shaken that I cried for 15 minutes on the set after the shot." Ileana had a blast shooting for Pokiri. "Puri Jagannath (director) is chilled out and very open to ideas."

Illu will be paired with Surya in "Sarvam"

Illu, the most happening star of Telugu films is that she is the lady lead of Surya in ‘Sarvam’, a movie which is going to be produced by Surya’s cousin Gnanavel and directed by Vishnuvardhan. This movie will be announced after the release of ‘Sillunnu Oru Kadhal’.

Vijay tried his best to rope her in the Tamil version of POKIRI but in vain. She was not able to act in the Tamil "Pokiri" due to call sheet problems. Her career graph in Telugu is so steep that Trisha is only the next contender of top spot in Telugu films.

Now the most "Happening Star" of Tollywood is going to make ripples even Kollywood. She is already been paired with Ravi Krishna in the upcoming KD ( Jadoo in Telugu) . Would Illu be the nest dream girl of Kollywood???

Illu in PK+ Trivikram Combo? --Exclusive!

Highly reliable sources from inside the industry circles inform us that , Power Star Pawan Kalyan's immediate next movie after "Annavaram", directed by Trivikram Srinivas, which had its Muhurath Pooja yesterday, Allu Aravind who is the producer has approached Illu's associates for the lead role.

As the shooting of the movie begins in the month of December, Illu will have a flexible and free schedule. The movie is said to be a thorough entertainer and is said to be a treat for the pawan fans. If the news is true, it will be a great happening as Illu who is the current Hotshot! will get a chance to act beside the Power Star!.

Expectations are running high on the movie. Rest of the crew is yet to be finalised. Mani Sharma has been confirmed for the Music department. More on the movie and status will be updated as soon as they pour in! Keep Visiting!

Ileana : Stressed & Strained!

Well, they say "Fame has a price". Illu who has shot to fame overnight with the incredible success of Pokiri and Devadasu. Illu has signed many projects in both tollywood and kollywood. But, sadly the pressure due to the shootings has become too much for her.

Shuffling between the Sets of "Munna" and "Rakhi", Illu has been totally stressed out. So much so, that the doctors have advised her to take few days rest! Doctors were called in after Illu almost fainted on the sets while dancing on a "Fast-beat" song.

According to sources, Illu will be out of action for a few days atleast and will join the rest of shooting team later. Well, Illu is one heck of a hard-worker. Hence, she makes a point there.

M U N N A -- Movie Updates!!

After "Jadoo", the immediate next project for Illu is "MUNNA". Directed by Debutant Vamsi Padipalli, Munna is being produced by "Dil" Raju who is on a high after the recent success of his movie "Bommarillu". Munna has Illu and Prabhas in the lead roles.

It is expected to be an action-packed thriller. But, according to producer Raju, Illu's character holds a similarity to the one of Genelia in Bommarillu. Well, the shooting is 75% complete and according to the inside sources, the movie has come out quite well so far.

Music by Harris Jayraj also carries alot of expectations from the Music Lovers as well the movie buffs. The Audio is expected to release in the month of September (Tentatively 3rd week) and is the movie is slated for a Dusshera Release! Once Again, wishing all the best to Illu!

Jadoo Audio by Next week! --Exclusive!

The Long awaited Illu's movie after Pokiri is the Bi-Lingual titled "Jadoo" in telugu and "Kedi" in tamil. Jadoo has been made under A.M.Rathnam's "Sri Surya Movies" banner. Jadoo has Illu, Ravi Krishna and Tammana playing the lead roles.

Recently producer Ratnam told the media persons that Jadoo's Audio is slated for a release in the last week of August. Music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja is expected to be a Chart-Buster. Illu for the first time dons a "NO-MAKEUP look " for the movie.

Expectations are quite high after Illu's two recent Super-blockbusters' "Devadasu" and "Pokiri". She has been quite a HOT-CAKE for everyone and we have to wait and see whether Illu's JAADOO works in Tamil also.

***Ileana's Upcoming Projects***Part II

First things first.. I am really sorry for having you kept waiting so long for the second part of the "Future-projects". Re-enter the projects of ileana..she is game for it.

3)Rakhee: The immediate venture after Munna, is "Rakhee". Directed by Ace-director Krishna Vamshi, Rakhee has Ileana, Jr.NTR and Charmee portraying the lead roles. The movie is expected to be a complete family entertainer with the perfect blend of action, comedy and sentiment. Illu for the second time shares the screen in a multi-starrer, the first being "Jadoo". The shooting is going at a brisk pace in the Lalaguda Railway colony and is expected to release in the Sankranthi period.

P.S : Film Circles say that Illu has been payed 1 Crore for this movie!

4)Mr.Khatarnak: The movie after Rakhee is tentatively titled "Mr.Khatarnak" with Illu and Mass hero Ravi Teja assuming the lead roles. After a successful debut movie "Ranam", choreographer-turned-director Amma Rajashekar takes care of the directorial duties. The shooting hasn't yet started, but the Muhurat shot was taken in their private office

P.S :The first dialouge of the film, Raviteja says, "Dass, always boss." to which Ileana adds, "because of me".

5) Veera: Allu arjun's immediate next after the present "Desa Muduru" is said to be titled "Veera". Produced by the ace-producer M.S.Raju, the movie has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Directed by Veera Shanker of GUDUMBA SHANKER fame, the rest of the crew is not yet finalised. More on the movie coming soon..

Others: Rumours say that Illu is pitted to play the lead role beside Nagarjuna in Lawrence Directed "DON". Illu was also rumoured to be in the lead role again with Mahesh in Hare Rama Hare krishna.. Wishing all the Best to Illu, I sign off..

**Illu's Future Projects***-Part 1

With the stupendous success of her debut movie 'Devadasu' and the recent record smashing hit 'Pokiri', Illu has no time to relax and rejoice her success. Starting off with a mere Rs.5 lakh for Devadasu, the price she quotes now is said to be somewhere around Rs.75-80 Lakhs! If you have seen 'Devadasu', you will agree that she is a Cart-load of talent and an epitome of beauty. She is said to be the new "Lady-luck" and actors not only in tollywood, but even in the tamil film industry are being captivated by her charm and her enchating beauty.

So, we take a look at her future projects, which will keep her busy till the beginning of the new year.

1.Jaadoo: Directed by A.M.Ratnam's elder son Jyothi krishna, 'Jaadoo' has Ravi Krishna (7/G BC fame), Tammana and ofcourse the beauty princess Illu in the lead roles. The movie has some peppy tunes by Yuvan Shanker Raja. The audio of the movie was scheduled to be released in the first week of August or so..but was delayed due to unknown reasons. The film is slated for a September release. Ileana for the first time appears in a 'No-Makeup' look.

P.S : Jaadoo was sold in the Andhra territory immediately after the hit-talk of Pokiri...so the film is entirely dependent on Ileana's Jaadoo!

Directed by newcomer Vamsi Padiapalli, the movie is expected to be an action-thriller. Munna's music has been composed by Harris Jayraj and the audio is slated for an September last week release and the movie is scheduled to be released during the holiday season of Dusshera and Diwali.

P.S : Rumours are doing rounds that Illu's character in this movie is on the similar shades of Genelia's in Bommarillu.Coincidence, I suppose!
